Introduction

What is nature? Does this word mean anything to you?
Nature has always provided us with everything we can imagine. Food, water, fresh air, etc. And what do we really do for nature? The absence of a deep emotional connection between humans and the natural world is the root of the environmental crisis. We, us humans have nothing less and nothijg worse than purposefully destroying it. Can wr close our eyes for a moment and imagine what the world will look like if we continue this behaviour? Sooner or later we will have to pay for our actions. We finally need to be aware of the consequences. Start thinking in a broader way, to live more sustainable. This is the reason why our Erasmus+ project ,,LLLS'' ( Leran, Live, Love, Sustainable!) was born. 17 people from 4 countries,( Croatia, Romania, Macedonia and Slovakia) gathered together in Samobor, Croatia to pose some problems regarding these issues we are facing, and to search for ways of living better and more sustainable life. The aim of the project is to spread awareness among the people about some common problems we are facing. We hope to gain more knowledge and to be able to spreas it to the others, so they would be aware also. By doing so, we increase the chances of being conscious and accountable about our actions.

Entry level nutrition!

One of the most important things in our lives, that we love to underestimate, is our nutrition. Throughout the project we tapped into the basics, as it's something that anyone can simply understand and incorporate into their daily lives. Our bodies are complex biological machines and they need a plethora of various different types of minerals and molecules alike.  For an individual to have a sustainable and nutritious diet, they need to integrate lots of vitamins, minerals and a healthy amount of calories. In our personal opinion, it is always a good idea to replace the overly processed fast food with many veggies and fruits, that you could even grow in your own personal garden! Veggies like cabbage, peppers etc etc, contain lots of vitamin C B and A, that play an essential part in our metabolic processes. Fruits can serve as a great substitution to overly sugared sweets, as they are generally lower in calories, and also bring along many minerals and vitamins. It is important to ha...

Tools used in the project

In order to achieve a remarkable result throughout some activities that involve people with a common aim , there have to be implemented some tools that would help in learning and understanding a topic, so that is why some magic tools are important for a project that provides sustainability, too. Furthermore, these are the ones used in our LLLS journey: Firstly, some icebreakers aka activities to get to know each other For example, making a circle with the whole group so each person, one by one, says his/her name and associates it with an animal and a gesture. Another game is the Clock game: the one that help people meet and discuss on a topic for about 3-4 minutes for every hour of a clock (12 meeting per general) Secondly, to start the team-building there is another activity by staying in a circle with eyes closed and trying to take 2 random hands and then untying the formed knot of hands connecting to the nature and learning more about what it means, what everybody is doin...

Witch are the benefits of a personal garden?

Gardening, in itself, can produce the most  healthiest, least processed foods to put in your body wich creates healthy habits that leads us to a healthy lifestyle.  Getting your hands dirty and being in touch with beautiful, living plants can promote positivity for the mind, body, and soul. However, that’s just scratching the surface of the many benefits of creating and maintaining a garden. Think about it, you’re bringing things to life by nourishing, watering and putting in the effort to get your plants flourishing. But how can gardening improve our health, too? Most people enjoy being outdoors and digging into the soil, creating and watching plants grow. People with disabilities, people who are unwell, older people and children can find it especially rewarding to spend time in the garden tending plants and growing their own food. Enjoyment – from the physical activity Exercise – improves your endurance, strength, mobility and flexibility, and mental health Relaxation – help...
