Tools used in the project

In order to achieve a remarkable result throughout some activities that involve people with a common aim , there have to be implemented some tools that would help in learning and understanding a topic, so that is why some magic tools are important for a project that provides sustainability, too.

Furthermore, these are the ones used in our LLLS journey:

Firstly, some icebreakers aka activities to get to know each other

For example, making a circle with the whole group so each person, one by one, says his/her name and associates it with an animal and a gesture.

Another game is the Clock game: the one that help people meet and discuss on a topic for about 3-4 minutes for every hour of a clock (12 meeting per general)

Secondly, to start the team-building there is another activity by staying in a circle with eyes closed and trying to take 2 random hands and then untying the formed knot of hands

connecting to the nature and learning more about what it means, what everybody is doing for nature and what nature does for us by going in the forest and observing how phisicaly it influences us (also playing funny games outdoors)

creating movies about sustainability therefore everything that we had learned about this topic was used in practice and what’s more the movie is a quite effective way to spread the knowledge of conscious activities towards nature

discovering the multiple ways of volunteering we can participate in & organisations to take part in & moreover what the benefits it offers

workshop about The 4 Rs of sustainable life

Reduce

Reuse

Renew

Recycle

creating decorative flowers out of leftover textiles or paper in order to be aware about reducing waste and increase creative thinking

Going to forest and cleaning up the spring out of leaves and dirt, the main source of drinkable water in the area & moreover got connected to Vrhovcak environment

Practicing playing with the Thor map and focused on our goals in life, feelings towards it, competencies needed to achieve the goals & learnings we nave or might need

Everything about gardening

Discussion about the seasons to plant, homemade fertilisers and the ones from garden pharmacies, local fruit and vegetables and how would we like to organise our own in-/outdoor garden

Going for a walk to pick up the ingredients for a smoothie from local orchard

Reflecting about our activities through the perspective of another Thor map that included: kitchen (how we felt), living-room (facts, what was happening), attic(findings, what we have learned), balcony(future, how to implement

trip to Samobor on feet through the forest and discovering the beauty of high hills, preserved nature, breathtaking views from the Old Town and the ones of Samobor itself

Using another instruments to tingle the minds and think out of the box with NFE Box (Green and Participation). These challenged the group to thing “green” about their own environment and to get as more involved in social life as possible
